CNN’s “journalism” at its finest…
Shooter purchased gun accessories from same company as college shooters
Why this should be a non-story:
1) I’ve purchased firearms from an online distributor and picked them up in a local, federally-licensed gun shop to have all the necessary checks and such done. That doesn’t automatically mean I’m going to find a reason to shoot someplace up.
2) He bought ACCESSORIES online. ACC-ESS-OR-IES. Last time I checked, one doesn’t go shooting up a place with a glock magazine and a glock loader. You’re kind of missing an integeral part of the formula: The gun itself.
3) From the article directly:
Pennsylvania law has no requirement for a permit or license to purchase a handgun. However, it does require a license to carry a concealed weapon or carry one in a vehicle.
Not having a concealed handgun license doesn’t put some magical force-field around you that prevents you from concealing a handgun on your person. That’s why Rob Gordon (Washington County’s esteemed sheriff) said that concealed handgun license holders “are some of the best citizens in the county, they pay $65.00 to carry a firearm hidden from view while the bad guys are all doing it for free.”
