Good heavens me!

I just realized, today is, of all days, the 3rd anniversary of my blog. Three years I’ve been yammering on practically to myself with only Eric to read & comment on what little I have to say!
As an anniversary present to me, dear reader, if you’re out there and reading this, and you don’t generally comment, I invite you to comment, at least this once, so I know for a fact that Eric’s not the only one who’s reading this. It’s a lot cheaper than buying me a diamond tennis bracelet! (and I don’t know what I’d do with one of those, anyway…)
Hey, Andrew. Someone in the Miss Oregon organization sent me your blog this morning and you made us smile. Isn’t it nice to know we all grow and become better people than when we were in 6th grade? But no fear, no harm done, I’m sure you weren’t the only 6th grader to call Kari a dog or whatever other label 6th graders use, such is the nature of 6th grade! Kari actually gets asked this kind of thing by kids”were people ever mean to you, did people ever tease you”? all across Oregon on her speaking engagements in classes. She always answers yes and it seems to make a difference in helping these kids feel better about themselves, feeling hopeful that life WILL get better after 6th grade, and that maybe they too can grow into a happy and successful adult. So in some perverse and round about way maybe you were doing good with your behavior and are indirectly making life better for some Oregon 6th grader today! As her mom I can also say that one of the most beautiful things about Kari is the wonderful person she is on the inside, and I am certain that such character comes from character building experiences along the way, so consider yourself officially unburdened from 6th grade guilt or stupidity–who knew you were doing good!!!! Thanks for the smile, and congratulations on growing into a young man mature enough and strong enough to be able to analyze his own behavior, own up to it, and continue growing! Kudos….
I know what you mean. Most of my comments are by my brother or wife. But every once in a while, I get that comment by someone which is completely relevant to what I’m talking about. A joyous moment.
But if you look at how many sites you visit without commenting, you won’t feel so bad.
Anyway, congrats on 3 years and you’ve been keeping me entertained, so keep up the great sense of humor.
Eric, I don’t know what you did for distribution, but do you realize that (it appears, at least) I’ve gotten comments from Miss Oregon AND her mother today?
And Mrs. Virding, can I just say I had no idea that you or Kari would be reading this, so color me slightly in shock…
Andrew!
Congrats on three years of “yammering”! Your gift from our hero shall be … a fully peeled GOLD STAR!!! That is, once I finally get around to buying some of those.
Perhaps next year, as a fourth anniversary present, we can celebrate with something more substantial…
Blazers playoff tickets anyone?
That’s a deal, Michael.
You can buy the tickets & I’ll see about a Farmer’s Employee discount for them… *grins*
Haha thats so funny
