Sorry that it’s so darned blurry, but it’s a cellphone camera and I’ve heard that Best Buy doesn’t take too kindly to people taking pictures in there. Not quite sure what they’re afraid of, but I wasn’t in the mood for confrontation. Apparently, though, the Rock Band and Guitar Hero instruments have reached a critical level. This Best Buy has devoted a HUGE section of retail space to all of the instruments. This is in addition to another two aisles of plastic instruments near the video game section. I was so shocked to see so much space devoted to these instruments when everyone knows that retail space is precious. Looks like the guys at 1up.com were onto something when they mentioned in a recent podcast that eventually we’re going to be drowning in instruments. After all, each edition of Rock Band and Guitar Hero comes with its own instruments. And then there are the imitation brands too!
