I’m Not Mad is a collaboration between Eric Mesa and Dan Mesa. It’s the story of a bunch of friends who are into computers, video games, and other forms of technology. The comic very loosely based on Eric, Dan, Dave and some of their friends; in the same way that Tycho and Gabe are based on the Penny Arcade guys, Piro is based on Fred Gallagher, and quite possibly a lot of other webcomic main characters and their writers/artists.

Dan is one of the writers on “I’m Not Mad”. When not writing for “I’m Not Mad” he’s probably playing videos games or writing on his personal blog, “I Bring Nothing to the Table“. On any given Saturday he’s probably also rooting for the Florida Gaters since Cornell doesn’t have a competitive football team.
Eric is the modeler and also a writer. Eric has more hobbies than could possibly be healthy including photography, programming, blogging at “It’s a Binary World 2.0“, computer animation and video production, occasionally playing video games, and messing around with Linux.
Influences
Visually and content-wise Eric is influenced by xkcd, Penny Arcade, Ctrl-Alt-Del, and Sin Fest.
Tools
The character models are created and posed in Blender. Any special effects are applied in The GIMP. Then they are put into web-comic format in Inkscape. All of this is on my Fedora machine. This web comic is running on Wordpress which is, in turn, running on FreeBSD.
